Calvary Women is part of CBC's mission to help people follow Jesus together by giving women opportunities and tools to follow Jesus with other women. We have Bible study classes, events and groups for women. In our classes, groups, and at our events, women can:

  • grow in knowledge, understanding and love for God;

  • build relationships with one another and the community and world around us;

  • and be challenged and equipped to live out His mission, all fueled by the unchanging Word of God.

CALVARY WOMEN PRAYER

September 2024 Prayer Focus

Happy September, all!

We are continuing with our focus to pray “that the Lord would deepen our concern for the lost.” As I described back in July as we began this prayer focus: “The Lost” are those who do not yet know and follow Christ. “The Found” are those who have seen their need for a Savior and called on the Name of Jesus Christ for salvation, then should have a deep desire to share the hope of that salvation!

This month, we’re asking you to join us in praying 1 Timothy 2:1-4 as a specific passage that will direct our hearts and actions as we pray:

  • Pray in all ways, at all times, for all people. “1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions,”

  • Pray for specific, Christ-like outcomes for Believers. “that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”

  • Seek to glorify God by praying for what He desires—salvation for those who have not yet believed! “3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
